We closed off 2021 with a decisive move to add a new member to the Wentor’s board.
A quick recap of 2021:
At the start of 2021, Wentors being less than 6 months old we decided after our pilot cohort in October 2020 to launch a massive mentorship cohort in celebration of the International Women’s Day 2021. We made the announcement to provide mentorship to 1000 women in technology, amplified by Microsoft and a number of our partner communities, we hit and surpassed that number growing our community from roughly over 300 at the launch of our pilot cohort in 2020 to over 2000 women in technology from 4 different continents of the world.
In the latter part of the year, we launched the We-Accelerate mentorship program for mid-level career women in technology and at close of the year we had provided mentorship to over 500 women in technology while impacted our growing community in soft skill programs, technical webinars and closed door fireside chats.
We had our ambassadors who were also very pivotal in our growth alongside our partner communities. It’s amazing what you can do when you have really committed on your side.
2022: Community driven, people focused.
This year, we are taking bolder steps.
And the announcement of the new board member, we believe is a step in the right direction.
We intend to provide mentorship to many more women around the world, ensuring they are equipped with both the knowledge and connection to be nurtured on their career tracks as women in technology.
In view of this, we have opened up our arms in partnership to communities around the world who would be willing to join us in our bold ambition for 2022.
We are opening up our program to be able to accommodate over 5000 women in technology. It’s a huge leap from where we are and we believe in the power of a strong female community.
We are bringing aboard wentors(mentors) and wentee(mentees)to ensure we hit our mark.
What’s in it for us?
We want to build a community that sustains and powers the dreams of women in technology across the world.
How can you be a part of this?
